- The Symbolic Blade is strong, thick iron with heavily rusted with a stable surface patina. The Pommel is beautifully detailed bronze with Eye etchings.
- This piece was used ceremonially by the Hausa of Northern Nigeria as a Power Emblem symbolizing Strength and Might. Most ceremonial objects of this type would be in the possession of a local Leader or Chieftain, symbolizing his power and Authority over his domain.Â
